I have been noticing some differences in myself in recent weeks. When playing in my house, I have realised that I can now reach things I never normally can reach. For example, door handles are now easily accessible and I can go wherever I want around the house. That is until my Mammy and Daddy catch me. Also, some of my favourite clothes are too small for me, which is a shame as a lot of them have Peppa Pig on!
So I have been trying to figure out why this has been happening. My first thought was that everything around me was shrinking, which terrified me! But I quickly noticed that my Mammy and Daddy are still the same size, so I knew it wasn’t that. My next thought was that I was imagining it all, maybe I was too light headed from all my piloting and deep sea diving.
In actual fact, it turned out to be the exact opposite. The world isn’t shrinking…I am getting bigger!
This was soon confirmed when I started paying more attention to what my Mammy and Daddy were telling me. They have said for a long time that I am, “such a big girl”, or “you have grown up so much”. However, I just put this down to my Mammy and Daddy speaking their usual nonsense to me, which I always ignore. But the more I thought about it, the more sense it made. My shoes start to feel tighter, toys seem smaller, I can reach new things and our stairs seem smaller. What was happening to me!
Do I panic? Should I see a doctor? Can I reverse it? A million thoughts ran through my head.
However, I soon began to think about the endless possibilities of getting big. One of the biggest problems I have day to day, is that when I decide to run off from Mammy and Daddy, they can pick me up and take me back. If I was big, I could say, “NOT SO FAST MAMMY AND DADDY! I AM NOW BIG AND YOU BETTER SHOW ME SOME RESPECT!” I can then pick my Mammy and Daddy up and put them in their bedrooms, see how they like it!
It is very weird that for so long, I had no idea I have been doing lots of growing. My Mammy and Daddy showed me a picture of how much growing I have done. Look at this picture! Guess how much time passed between these pictures? Nope not years, months…4 months!
At this rate I am going to be a giant by the time I am 3 years old! I can’t wait, there will be no more of Mammy and Daddy taking my snacks of me. If I want another biscuit, I will get another biscuit…just try and stop me!
