“Dinosaur Park” – Evelyn’s Diaries

Evelyn at the Dinosaur park

This week, I travelled back in time 100 years (or something like that), to a time where dinosaurs roamed the Earth! I asked my Nanna and Grandad if they remembered when dinosaurs were around, but they said that dinosaurs were here way before them. I found this weird as because they are the oldest people I have ever seen, so how much longer can you go back?

Anyway, I decided to find out all about dinosaurs for myself, as my Daddy took me to Teesaurus Park! This park was full of big dinosaurs for me to look at, as well as a play area and lots of space to run around. My Daddy and I were accompanied by my friend Oliver and his Daddy, who is also my Daddy’s friend. It was good that my Daddy had someone to play with and keep him occupied, whilst Oliver and I were studying the dinosaurs.

Dinosaur #1

As you can see in the picture, the first first dinosaur we saw was very stylish. By looking at it, I think it was called “Big Spikysaurus”, but that could be wrong. It had lots of pretty colours and was really tall. I bet this dinosaur liked parties, as it was very colourfully dressed, had four legs which meant it would be a good dancer and a big mouth to eat lots of party snacks.

Dinosaur #2

The next dinosaur we saw was very different. This dinosaur was really tall, had little arms, a long tail and a really big head. Again, I wasn’t sure of it’s name, but my guess would be that this dinosaur was called “Big Head Rex”. This dinosaur was less colourful than the Big Spikysaurus, but it was a lot taller. I imagine that this dinosaur was used by window cleaners, who would sit on it’s back and reach all those high windows.

Dinosaur #3

The final dinosaur we looked at was different again. It had large horns coming out of it’s head, a big body and little legs. It wasn’t very tall, but it was quite long, because of its horns and tail. I am pretty sure that this dinosaur was called the “Big Horny Dinosaur”. For some reason, my Daddy laughed when I suggested this.

Annoyed that my Daddy wasn’t taking the horny dinosaur seriously, I moved on and went to play in the play area. It’s nice that they had built a play area for the dinosaurs. I had no idea that dinosaurs liked play areas too! As it turns out, dinosaurs like slides, roundabouts and zip lines, just like me. I spent the rest of my time at the Dinosaur park playing on the slide.

However, the weather soon changed and what was a sunny day, soon became a wet day. So our trip to the dinosaur park ended sooner than planned. We all ran back to our cars and said a very quick goodbye. As we drove off, I waved goodbye to Big Spikysaursus, Big Head Rex and Big Horny Dinosaur, having learned so much about them.

I can’t believe my Nanna and Grandad missed out on having their windows cleaned by a man sat on a Big Head Rex.
